HOST: FPC's Secure Instant & Immediate Payments API Work Group

GOAL:

Advance instant payments by demonstrating how directory capabilities - particularly payment aliases like email or phone number - can simplify transactions and make the payment process more efficient.

THE CHALLENGE:

Bridge Private and Open Directories to enable faster, secure alias-based payments

KEY DELIVERABLES:

• Open Alias Directory Service (Redirector, Forwarder, or Concentrator model)
• APIs for data retrieval and storage
• Integration with a mock Private Directory
• Innovative, secure, scalable solutions, with a preference for AI-based approaches

LOGISTICS:

• Timeline: Pre-Hackathon Preparation, Concentrated 24-48 hour Development, Final Presentation
• Team Composition: Minimum 3 members (e.g., Back-end Developer, Security Specialist, Project Manager/Business Analyst)
• Resources: FPC will provide mock data feeds, documentation, and a communication tool
